You Can Help Saving Our Mother Earth

It has concerned many people from different walks of life regarding the global warming issue. You might say that you can't do anything about that. However, you can do many things to help our 'home'. The least you can do is to recycle and take care of the environment.

You can reuse things like your lotion and shower cream bottles, use both sides of the papers and don’t buy instant coffee because they are sold in individual packets. I drink too much coffee. My trash can will be filled with empty packets of instant coffee by 5pm. Therefore, I only drink can coffees (I believe you're aware of that as I always drink one before the class starts).

I can keep the cans and all the bottles of my mineral and drinking waters. I don't simply throw them in the dustbin, but I send them to the recycling centre. Some of the recycling centres even pay you if you send your cans and bottles to them. I bet you can get extra pocket money if you carry this responsibility.

I use Body Shop products, which are not tested on animals. Even my toiletries and shopping bags are biodegradable. I believe that by using all of these products, at least I contribute something to lessen the damage that we 'unconciously' (or should I say we 'purposely) do to the animals and our environment.

Many of us set dry leaves on fire. We don't want to waste our money, time and energy bury the leaves or do something with them so they can decompose naturally. I cringe at the sight of people littering out of the car windows or even they ride their bike. It pisses me off but those are simply things that they are used to.

I will keep my food wrappers, even my can drinks in my bags first before I throw them. I segregate all the unwanted things so I know which one to be disposed and to be recycled. I really hope you can also start with this habit.

It breaks my heart when I see the image of people killing the sea lions, tigers, leopards and elephants heartlessly without mercy. It is just so sad. That is why change is crucial. We need to change the way we live and think about the environment.

The Artic is melting as you are reading this. Recycle and think of the environment. It is the only way to go. I hope you can do your part of the job to save our lovely mother earth. Please remember that each and every little thing that we do (good or bad) will add up, so start reuse things, and don't buy any products that are animal tested.
